Our Covenant Journey

Married since 1997, Kenny and Shawna Adams are the founders of The Marriage Mechanics, a ministry dedicated to the restoration, fortification, and celebration of the marital covenant. Their own union serves as a living testament to the power of a Kingdom-centered marriage. Their journey is defined by an unwavering conviction that success is found through radical obedience to the Word of God. They stand firmly on the promise that with God, all things are possible, and that the richest blessings of a union are unearthed through the spiritual pillars of sacrifice, servanthood, and submission.

A Legacy of Service

With over two decades of dedicated service in ministry, Kenny and Shawna have long been pillars in their local community. Their holistic approach blends the spiritual with the practical; through biblical preaching, anointed worship, and intentional teaching, they have witnessed God’s transformative power firsthand in countless lives.

In 2014, sensing a specific call to "stand in the gap" for struggling couples, they recognized the importance of leveraging formal education alongside the leading of the Holy Spirit. This led them to become Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitators, providing them with professional tools to help couples navigate the complexities of partnership while remaining rooted in faith.

Expanding the Reach

Their ministry expanded significantly in 2018 with the birth of their podcast, "Love, Marriage & Everything In-Between." By fearlessly tackling "real and raw" topics—such as fighting fair, emotional manipulation, and bedroom bliss—they created a safe space for couples nationwide to grow. In 2022, following the "wind of God," they transitioned this platform into a vibrant marriage small group, which now hosts over 50 couples monthly to celebrate the sanctity of marriage and overcome spiritual attacks.

Leadership & Expertise

In 2025, Kenny and Shawna were appointed by their Bishop and Pastor to serve as Co-Assistant Directors of the Victory in the Vow Marriage Ministry at Victory in Christ Christian Center. In this capacity, they assist with overseeing a thriving community of over 200 couples, helping to orchestrate large-scale conferences, workshops, and events. Furthering their commitment to excellence, they also became Certified Marriage Specialists through the National Association of Marriage Enhancement (NAME) that same year.

Kenny and Shawna are the proud parents of two beautifully anointed daughters, Jazmine and Lyric, now walking as grown women in their own personal journey with God. Also, Kenny and Shawna’s greatest gifts are their 4 grandsons, Zy’Mir, Zion, Zy’Aire, and Zakari, and the princess of the family, Jhourni.

In every milestone and every life changed, Kenny and Shawna operate with an infectious passion for the family unit, giving all glory to God for His faithfulness!
