Thought of the day
It's not easy to trust God when things are going wrong. When money is tight, health issues, volatile marriage, prodigal children and the list goes on. But, we are told not to worry because although we are powerless, our God is all-powerfull.
God is all-powerfull
Our finite minds are too fragile to grasp that we do live in a matrix held together by his word. Dominated by what we can see, hear, and feel, we cower.
We are fearful. We shrink back from faith. It's too marvelous to believe.
But, it's truth! If you take care of God's business, he will take care of yours. Yes, he still perfects those things that concern us.
The psalmsist says that we should trust God and do good. Commit to him. Delight ourselves in him. He will give us the desires of our heart. He will pour wisdom into first, which is the most important thing, then, meet out temporal needs.
"(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:32-33)
