The Deadly Deadly Sin of Omission

Updated: Aug 14, 2019

"Loving people IS our business and the business of mankind."

"If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." (James 2:15-17)

No love...no faith!!!

When Jesus comes, one of His first order of business will be to judge and cut off the people who committed sins of omission. These are the people who pamper themselves as being righteous because outwardly they do righteous things or appear righteous. They may have "outwardly" a good marriage. They obey the laws of the land. They may pay tithes and attend church regularly etc. etc. They may even be spiritual leaders. Yet. the Lord will reject them. Sad! Very sad! You see, God puts a very high value on one thing: mercy. It's one of His virtues. Scripture says,

"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." (Psalms 103:8)

Again, Jesus in the New Testament told the parable of the wicked unforgiving servant who was sent to the tormentors because he refused to forgive and show mercy. Yes, it is wicked and evil not to forgive, to be vindictive and revengeful even if you pay your tithes and do righteous things.

Now, let me explain what mercy is not. It's not calling evil good. It's not saying that since God made you a homosexual, we now accept you (by the,way God doesn't make anyone a homosexual - sexual orientation is a lie made up by very corrupt and sick people). It's not about cheapening grace which the Lord paid for by dying a cruel death on the cross. Not in the least

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" (Romans 6:1-2)

Mercy says that we are offering a clean slate so you can do better and start over not so you can continue your sin and mess. Mercy is taking on the burden of others. It's feeling another's pain. It's taking another's place of disgrace and shame. It's forgiving others because God has forgiven us so so much.

Scripture says, "Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy." "Forgive me as I also forgive others."

These are spiritual laws that can't be broken. When we refuse to feel the pain of others, whether in poverty, sickness, or prison; when we refuse to give (If we have it of course) to others in a timely fashion...when they need it; it's wicked and the Lord will return our wicked ways to us

Having no mercy is a great wickedness that people like to hide under a heap of religion. Like the religious leaders who passed on the other side of the road to avoid helping a bruised and beaten person, it has not changed. In their delusion, they justify being heartless, unheipful and selfish. Indeed, having little or no care for others is now the norm for most people today as they fulfill scripture,

"In the last days perilous times will come for men shall become lovers of their own selves..."

But, remember "What goes around, comes around" and "spitting into the wind invariably flies back into your face."

"Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard." (Proverbs 21:13)

We are always sowing into our future good and bad by the decisions we make. Divorce, abuse, gossip (which most news organizations have become), apathy, selfishness, never keeping your word, high crime are clear signs of a society that is bankrupt when it comes to mercy. Again, we beg, we plead, we encourage: show mercy!

When judgment was pronounced on King Nebuchadnezzar because of his arrogance -pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall-Daniel pleaded with the king to break of his sins by giving to the poor. Vow! He was telling the king to show some mercy...so he could perhaps get some!! Even after God pronounced judgment!! Vow!! And, a million times vow!!

The Lord is truly merciful...begging pleading...but who will listen! We have been down this road so so many times!! Read your Bible!!

The Lord begged and pleaded with His people to repent. He admonished them to care for the, widows and fatherless, to help the poor, be equitable in business. He sent angels into Sodom and Gomorrah right before destruction...they mocked Lot and then tried to rape angels!! So...it is today! People think you are talking foolishness when you talk about the impending judgement! They rather you prophesy a car money or job promotion...nothing has changed; just prophesy smooth things and the things we want to hear.

Full of pride, (pride makes you delusional) Nebuchadnezzar didn't listen. God humbled him. He went crazy. Isn't that exactly what is happening today? Isn't what we are hearing in the news total lunacy?

To everyone listening. humble yourself! Get in a low position. Jesus is Lord. He controls this matrix, this is His world, this "belief" we live in, He owns it. That is the honest and unadulterated truth. I lie not. He said,

"All power is given to me in heaven and in earth." (Matthew 28:18)

All means all..every atom...every breath...every mind...every stone...every star...everybody...everything..every!!! Everybody will be broken, every knee will bow. Every!!!

Listen, forsake the pride that has people blind and in bondage. Forsake the pride that makes you selfish, self-centered and unmerciful. Forsake the pride that refuses to forgive and divorces people. Forsake the pride that is heady, highminded and refuses to listen to good advice and correction.. Forsake the pride that refuses to be honest and keep one's word. Run from it! It is the deadly deadly sin of omission. You see, when someone genuine asks you for help...mercy has come to your doorstep, and, by the way, you may need it more than them!!

"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me." (Matthew 25:41-45)
