Money Can't Be Your Security

Food For Thought!

Money is the security of most people. They live to work and their lives revolve around getting more money. It's the reason rich people are stingy and poor people often suffer from lack. Their lives is based on the amount of money that they have.

In fact, in our very fake world, we grade people by the amount of money they have rather than character and integrity.

When we don't understand life, we live by what we see, hear, and feel. We think that things and situations just happen. So, we panic if we don't have enough money or we become prideful, insensitive and arrogant when we do have a lot of money.

However, as our Lord explained to us, life, yes life, does not revolve around or consist in the amount of things that a man possesses. Life is about serving God and doing his will.

Going to the best doctor may not always solve your health problems. Money can vanish overnight through a bank becoming insolvent, lost wages or major debt.

Money is simply an item of exchange for goods and services. That's all it is.

We should learn to wisely and properly manage, conserve and distribute it. However, our trust and faith must be in God, and not how much money we have or don't have.

Everything belongs to God.

He has promised to supply all our needs according to his riches in glory. He has the power to release money, health, peace, water, food, any and everything that we need.

He proved this when he led his people through the wilderness and when our Lord Jesus Christ performed miracles.

  • He is still God.

  • He is still unlimited.

This is his world and his matrix. It's a big mistake to make money your God and idol, it always leads to disaster.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. Having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows…Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate."
