Boaz: Why he doesn't show up?

Thought of the day

A lot of single women like to say that they are waiting on their Boaz.  He is supposed to be the ideal husband.  It don't get no better than this.

In the Bible, the book of Ruth describes a man who is godly, unselfish, caring, sensitive, and...wait for it...wealthy.

He is the complete package for a woman to marinate in security: temporal, emotional, and spiritual.

Aaah...yeah mon!

That's the guy every women needs.  However, and sadly, he is a dying breed.  Most men today lack the spiritual  insight to become a Boaz.

Most are stubborn, prideful and desperately lacking wisdom. Embracing Boaz requires faith and humility; a man that is able to weather hard times with patience and stay humble when things get better.

While Israel endured a famine, he stayed in the land.  He was broken and humbled until the rains returned and his business flourished.

You see, real faith is not moved by circumstances i.e. fear and insecurity,  it's brave and bold knowing that the God of Israel is always in control.  Hallelujah!!!

Now, you may want a Boaz, but understand, God who provides for him, will not allow him to marry a Jezebel.  Jezebel is a domineering  control freak.  She is not satisfied with humbly serving her husband, she likes to have the reigns and feeling and thrill of having authority!  She disrespects, undermines, and manipulates until she wears her man down.

The man, Ahab,  gives in for peace sake. Sadly, such are most female hearts today.  And, Boaz..never shows up! Ahab does.  A weak, spineless individual willing to trad leadership for sex.

"For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"  (Matthew 7:8-11)
